Punishment is a Momentum Icon Tournament

Punishment is a WTT Qualifying Event

Tournament Rules

Punishment is a “Named Superstar” format tournament. You may only play one Superstar!

You may, however, change and edit your Playbooks throughout the tournament, but you may not change the Superstar.

This is a “Swiss Format” tournament. Meaning you cannot be eliminated! You can continue playing even after you lose a game (it is NOT single-elimination).

You will get 3 points for each win, 1 point for each draw, 0 points for each loss, and 3 points for each bye or noshow. Also, you will get 7 points if you win or retain the Title.

If you participate in all the rounds of the tournament, you will recieve a +5 Tournament Point bonus in addition points earned during the tournament.

Each round is 35 minutes long. You have 10 minutes to start your games from the beginning of the round.

Turn limits will be set to 50 turns.

All games are played RANKED and in the NORMAL arena!

Playbook Restrictions

You must have at least 55 pages in your playbook.

You may only have 5 copies of a page in your playbook (except for common momentum).

Title Match Rules

The winner of the Punishment tournament will face the current champion immediately following the tournament.

Once the tournament is completed and results are announced, the Champion has 10 minutes to appear and defend his/her Title or it will be defaulted.

If the Champion does not show up to defend, the winner of the tournament will face the second-place contestant (or the next highest available contestant). The winner of that match will become the new Champion.

If the Champion participates in the tournament and wins it, then the Title Shot will go to the second-place contestant (or the next highest available contestant).

The Title Match is a “Named Superstar” match, but the Contender and Champion can name other Superstars than one’s used in the tournament.

Turn limits will be set to 60 turns. Playbook Restrictions will be the same as in the tournament.

If the Title Match ends up in a draw, the Champ defaults the Title and the Championship is left vacant until the next tournament.

(If the Title is vacant, the top two people at the end of the next tournament would play for the Championship).
